Strategy
ATV is a manufacturer of wind turbine blades since 1988, and is
particularly known for its experience of the use of carbon in the blades
production. When manufacturing volumes justify it and the customer is too
far, or when it is necessary to produce locally, ATV does not hesitate to
transfer the technology and allows a larger number of people to take
advantage of its experience.
The procedure of a transfer of technology
During a technological transfer, ATV designs and manufactures tools
(moulds, production tools, templates…), conveys work instructions, and
realises the training of the production teams at the customer plant - in
situation - during the manufacturing of the first blades. ATV takes
responsibility for the supply in kits of raw material for the first blades.

Lagerwey,
- transfer of technology and manufacturing license for wind turbine blades
of 13m40 at Polymarin Holland for Lagerwey machines in 1995,
- transfer of technology to Ukraine for 23m30 blades production at yuzhmash
Dniepropetrovsk in 2003.
Transfer of pre-impregnation machine
Similarly as for the blades manufacturing, ATV offers the transfer of
technology for the pre-impregnation of fabrics. This type of transfer
consists of the installation of the pre-impregnation machine, the training
of operators for the production of prepreg, and the advice for the
drawing-up of the quality assurance plan.
