The site

The location of Fuveau comprises a research department and a workshop of 2500 m². The firm is organised around a quality insurance management plan stemming from aeronautics and approved by Veritas office.

Men

ATV real strength lies in men who make up its teams. ATV workforce has a big experience in composite works, enriched by numerous products developments in various fields (wind turbine, sailing and industry). The recognised competence of these men is kept up by training seances, and some student trainees regularly come to complete their training within the team. The great competence of these men lets them train our customers during several transfers of technology abroad.

The research department

The research department takes responsibility for the design of parts and tools, the improvement of the manufacturing process, the follow-up of the products quality, and the certification reports, particularly for the wind turbine blades.

The research department is equipped with a CAD (computer-aided design) software and a calculation software specially developed by the ONERA ( aeronautics research and study national office) which allows to carry out the structural design of the blades.

The Workshop

The firm owns the modern equipment enticing the production of blades in series, under optimum quality conditions : we distinguish 2 separate workshops, one for stratification, and an other one for the finishing. The workshops are equipped with ventilation, underfloor heating, constant temperature, the heating of moulds by hot water and vacuum circuits.

A pre-impregnation machine facilitates the production of prepreg from dry fabrics, or directly from coils of fibre and resin.

A polystyrene cutting machine, 2 * 2 axis, enables the company to manufacture cores, with the geometry of the pieces produced, what is necessary for the One Shot process.

Two pneumatic presses and one hydraulic press put moulds under pressure during the One Shot manufacturing process, and are used for the mid size products ranging from 2 to 6 meters long.

Blade Testing

The constant testing of our products lets us run static tests on wind turbine blades. Our test bench can receive blades up to 29 meters long.
